Text to Household
I don't have the brain power to deal with everything that is going on in this house.
I just want to know are we seriously out of coffee?!
I just want to know are we seriously out of coffee?!

The question gives her pause. She doesn't want to make him upset, but they need to get to the bottom of this.]
Depending on the block of time missing from your memory: getting me drunk at my apartment. Going to Walt Disney World, drinking at Walt Disney World...us spending time together. [Her voice goes soft there, showing some vulnerability before an idea hits.]
Is it possible you were taken by the Commission, or one of their men hit you with something to tamper with your mind? Maybe, did something to you, then made you forget what they did to cover their tracks?
[She doesn't know, but fuck it, after all they've been through, could it really be outside the realm of possibility?]
no subject
I'm sorry, Rey.
[ He doesn't elaborate past that. At her questions, he does think it over. Herb and Dot seemed to be fine with him given their new found positions because of his actions in the Commission. But that didn't mean there weren't those within the Commission that didn't have an ax to ground with him. ]
I guess it is possible, but I wouldn't even know where to begin to figure it out...Could you...[ He's not sure he wants to ask. He sighs.] sense it, if that is the case?
no subject
He didn't need to say anything else. He didn't remember. He didn't recall and that hurt more than Rey wanted to admit. She bowed her head for a brief moment, swallowing her emotions and pushing it to the back of her mind.]
I might be able to, yes. I won't read you unless you're okay with it.
[She pulled out a chair across from him and sat down.]
Do I have your permission?
no subject
There's some stuff in here. [He points to his temple.] That I really don't want any of you to see...[ He trails off as he momentarily glances away. Especially not you. Though he doesn't finish it. He looks up after a long moment.]
Yes, I'd rather know for sure than put any of you at risk. So you have my permission.
no subject
No, I wouldn't dive into your memories. I'd want to see if you're lying, for lack of a better term. Sense any discrepancies and...if I do, then see what we can do that's not me going through your mind.
[And if there is anything she senses that's wrong, she'll have to contact Charlie for an SOS.
There's a deep breath as she looks at Five, focusing her energy on him to read him while lowering her mental walls. It's a balancing act; keeping others off of her radar while keeping him in her sight. Being closer to him helps a lot.]
A few questions to establish a baseline, and just...talk with me. [Like nothing was wrong, even though both are worried.]
What's your name? Who is Number 2? Am I your sister?
no subject
Thus he simply nods his understanding of her explanation. He keeps his eyes on her, while attempting to relax. He doubts tension is going to help her read him.]
Okay. My name is Five. Diego is Number Two. And yes you are my sister.
[ That he hasn't forgotten, even if he has forgot other things about their time together recently. ]
no subject
And mind probing isn't fun for either party, and she would like to avoid that if at all possible.
Good.
[There's a faint smile on her face.]
What is Allison's power? What were you trying to stop?
[More easy questions to help with establishing the base line and...]
When was the last time the Commission contacted you?
no subject
Allison can rumor anyone to do anything she wants. And I was trying to stop the Apocalypse, twice.
[ Some days he still can't believe they finally stopped it. It's a relief knowing that even if something happens to him, that his siblings get to live and grow old. ]
When I turned over the briefcase to Herb, after he let us use it to get back home.
no subject
Both answers were correct. No sign of hesitation there. His next answer gives her pause. That....happened weeks ago, but no sign of hesitation. Nothing in his mind that would signify trauma or mind alteration.]
What happened after that?
[Which could be telling, if his mind started to shift, split, or twisted then she could zero in on that.]
no subject
[Really that was all he remembered in regards to the Commission. Since then, they had been radio silent, not the he had been complaining about that.
He sighed, that feeling of frustration bubbling up again. Really what was going on with his memories?]
So much for trying to have a life outside of the Commission and the Apocalypse.
[ He generally wasn't one to give up, but maybe he just wasn't meant to be with his family for the long haul, especially if he kept losing time. ]
no subject
I wouldn't say the Apocalypse....just...wait.
[One last question that may help with things, or it could blow up in her face.
...And god it is embarrassing to say it out loud.]
Who was my little spoon?
[Going back to the conversation they had BEFORE Disney. The teddy bear she as a kid to cuddle with when he left. Yes, it was stupid and horrible phrasing on her part, but it was the only thing she could think of--if her hunch was correct.]
no subject
I'm sorry, Rey. I would just be guessing if I tried to answer that.
[ He can't help but lean forward, while placing his hands on the table. ]
Just how many talks have we had since we stopped the Apocalypse?
no subject
We've had many talks. But...
[She took a deep breath, leaning back and drew her power inward while rising her mental shields up once more.]
From an empath standpoint, you're fine. I didn't sense any trauma, anything that could cause even a slight tremor of a slip-up.
[She pauses for a moment, bringing a hand up to cup her chin, thinking...]
It's like you can't remember it because you didn't experience it? Or haven't experienced it yet?
[So, long and short of it, he's not going crazy. He's seemingly fine, but there isn't anything she can sense that could be affecting him.]
no subject
Though at her last observations, he found himself frowning. Could it have been possible that he botched a jump and ended up ahead in time again? Though thankfully this time there was no Apocalypse to be stranded in. He sighed heavily as he raked a hand through his hair in a frustration once more.]
So basically I probably fucked up another equation and ended up ahead of myself for some reason.
[ Quantum Physics was a bitch! ]
no subject
Well, they needed to figure it out, but for now Rey was wishing the house still had something (coffee or alcohol, or both) for Five.]
Or...maybe there was an outside factor--something or someone that's not the commission that decided to send you back? [God? Fates? A deity they never fucking heard of that decided to fuck with them?
Honestly, it wouldn't be the strangest thing yet.]
We'll figure it out, Five. [Together. He wasn't in this alone.]
no subject
He leans back in his chair for a moment, before grabbing his phone off the table and pocketing it.]
Right now there are too many questions for my liking.
[Truly he hates this feeling of vulnerability that this whole situation seems to be highlighting right now. He knows Rey means what she says, heck he trusts her more than many of his other siblings, but there is a part of him that doesn't want her to have to deal with this too.]
Whatever is going on, we aren't figuring it out today. I just need some time alone now.
[He gives her an apologetic smile before he suddenly blinks away. ]
