I need you to take me to the vet.
[ Guess who fed a stray and ended adopting the puppy. As much as it annoys him to ask, he needs the assistance of an adult looking person to convince the vets to vaccinate the poor dog. ]

[ If this what will take to convince Klaus...Five sends a picture of the puppy. ]
no subject
Okay yes, let me get my shoes, we're going right now.

[ Thanks good. He's surprised Klaus didn't ask questions, bit relieved too. ]

[Texting even as he walks down the hall, and then just barging into Five's room, as he's wont to do]
For instance, where the hell did you get this? Does it have a name? Can I pet it? Because I'm definitely going to pet it.

I found him in the alley when I was leaving the house, crying inside a crate. [ Because what's using door like a normal person? ] I already fed him and gave the puppy a bath but I don't know if it's healthy or if he needs vaccines.

Probably, they'll be able to tell if he's chipped already, too, though I doubt it if somebody just dumped him off in a box.

I couldn't tell, that's why I didn't name him. But who would abandon a pup this small? It's so cute too. [ Kneeling near the, Five reaches to scratch the pup's head, a small and sincere smile in his face. ]

[He's guessing, he knows about the leash/crate rules, but not what happens if they aren't followed. He also hasn't stood up yet, still rubbing the dog's face, even giving a soft whine of his own at the nipping, having heard that reacting the same way another dog would was the best way to curb that kind of behavior, and it seems to work.]
Right, right right right, we're supposed to be leaving.

At that, Five blinks at Klaus with something close to confusion, as if the information never occurred to him before and for a moment or two, he looks his age.
"Keep an eye on him as I go find something, make sure he doesn't get in trouble." Five says standing up again and ready to spatial jump. Then he grins like a cat before doing so. "I was talking to the dog, by the way."
And he's gone....for a little while, he will come back in a few minutes with a cardboard box that has a fluffy towel inside. "I found it in the pantry, I don't want to put a leash on him. He could get upset."
no subject
By the time Five returned, Klaus was fully sitting on the floor instead of just crouching as he had been, and was rolling the puppy over on its back every time it sat up, and just grinning when it leaned into his hand to get him to do it again, tail still going like a dynamo.
"Good call." He said, nodding, "And he's too little for a collar, I think, probably just slide right out of it."
no subject
When he sees Klaus and the dog a moment later, that grin turns into a softer smile. He puts the box down but doesn't look in any rush to hold the dog again. "Probably. We can get him one for once he grows up a bit."
Five totally plans on keeping the dog, in case it wasn't clear. He's 99% sure the poor thing isn't chipped.

He could probably scrape up the money for a taxi as well, if necessary, "Or do we want to risk getting pulled over?" He knew that the vet wasn't that far away, but there was always a chance.
no subject
"The bus then, it might be even quicker. And I'm paying." He doesn't want a cab overhearing their conversation and now one pays much attention to others in a bus. You could have a breakdown and very little people cared, if any.
Five also doesn't specify how or where he found the money for the bus or the vet and he also doesn't look like he's about to give any more details. He eyes Klaus' clothes critically.
"Do you want to get changed first or...?"
no subject
At the question, however, he glanced down at what he was wearing, rubbing a hand over his shirt as if to see if there was something spilled on it that he couldn't see but Five could, "What's wrong with what I've got on?"
no subject
"I don't even know where to start to answer that." So he won't! Puppy secured in the box, Five starts walking out of the kitchen, confident that Klaus will follow.

Once they were out of the house, Five looked at both side of the street, trying to remember where the bus stop was. God, it's been so long since he were here and even longer since he bothered with public transportation. "Uhm."
no subject
"Pretty sure I can manage to act like a thirty year old for however long this takes." For the puppy's sake if nothing else, though a little bit for Five's sake, too.
no subject
"Fantastic, maybe by the end of the day this lil munchkin will be properly cared for." When they reached the bus stop, Five told Klaus the name of the closest vet clinic he found listen on the phone book and they waited for the right bus to arrive. The puppy was still trying to look over the box and it yipped at them to get his attention.
"Shh, ey...it's okay." Slowly, Five reaches down to caress the puppy's head, concerned by the apparent distress.

He didn't draw attention to the fact, though, that would just be asking for trouble, instead he asked: "Have you thought of a name?"
no subject
"Not yet." Five looks up, his face relaxed. "I was thinking about asking Vanya is she wants to name it. But since you are helping, I'm open for ideas." He pauses briefly, then adds. "No names of weird musicians or bands."
no subject
He shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pockets, "That's just the rules, I don't make them up, but even I know what they are."
no subject
"He's part of the family now." The boy looked down at the dog fondly, something about cute pets just happened to be one of Five's weakness. "We can name them all together, I don't mind. I already had to take all the decisions on my own for 40 years."
It had been tiring, there were days when Five really considered giving up completely. But the reason why he didn't was sitting next to him, smelling of cigarettes and cologne. A bus passed by but it was not the right number. Fives ignored it but it got the pup's attention and it started to yip at Klaus. "I think he wants you to hold him."
no subject
He set to rubbing the dog's face and ears gently even as he resumed talking to his brother, "You could always ask mom, she did pretty well with the rest of us, I think she could be trusted to name a dog."
no subject
Five could understand the need for contact with another living creature and seeing Klaus dote on the dog makes him relax too.
"True. She also seems to be more ehm, natural now that dad's not around. Free. Did you notice too?"
