Reginald Hargreeves Home for Super Powered Children

Reginald Hargreeves Home for Super Powered Children
Also known as The Umbrella Academy

An eccentric billionaire once bought a few children born under crazy circumstances. That hasn’t changed. The timing in which he bought them though, that’s new. The first seven children were found at different times, brought into the Academy and trained to work as a superhero team. After their first Bank Robbery the news of the Inaugural Class of The Umbrella Academy spread world wide.

Seeking other super powered children or others born of the 43, Reginald opened his Academy to others as they came. Opened his home to children in need of learning how to control their powers. Sometimes they were bought, like the original, and sometimes they were runaways. They all had some form of a power or talent, though not all of them were useful to him.

The Media calls them The Umbrella Siblings, though not all take the Hargreeves family name.

The man still studied every child as he did his first seven, trying to learn everything he could from them. Each of them had a number, and if they came with no name they were given one by Grace.

Reginald did vigorous training with each student, as well as made sure their education was perfect. Study was important. Pogo was considered a Professor for the school, and Grace tended to teach those willing to learn about cooking and health care. Once in a while, if a super powered adult was in need and could help train the kids, they were brought on board as well.

All children of use are part of a team, though once they reach adulthood the uniforms change from school uniforms to leather suits and the missions are a bit more darker.

The Idea:
Play as children, play as adults.
Play in an actual Academy setting, a bit like the X-men but in a Hargreeves kind of manner.
Go on missions.
Do training together!
Teach a class!
Make out with someone in a dark corner.
This is a great setting for those not part of TUA cast to join in as if they were. Teachers are always needed too.

Feel free to play as Children, Teenagers or Adults. And don't forget your Domino Mask!

Klaus is of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with being 'soft', it's a helluva lot better than being anything like Dad, or what Dad seems to want all of them to be-- which he's pretty sure amounts to vigilante machines.

"Mom's almost done with dinner, I think." He shrugs a little. "I've been down here, waiting for like almost two hours or so." Waiting for Ben. For his chance to try and cheer his brother up, and offer him some dumb snack he'd swiped from upstairs.

Klaus doesn't begrudge any of his siblings that life-- it's the one they were primed and raised and trained for, after all. But he tries his hardest to avoid it as much as possible. Which only goes so far, of course, because Reginald gets what Reginald wants, one way or another.

"It's not your fault," he says with a shrug, and he's content to just leave it at that.

He smiles a little as Ben munches on the crackers. He's glad he'd thought to grab them before he came down to wait under the stairwell. "You ready to go upstairs?"

"Well, ya gotta go sometime," Klaus says, already hauling himself to his feet, grabbing Ben's arm to tug him up along with him, if he'll let Klaus guide him. "And you seriously need a shower, so better now than later." It's hardly anything truly meant as mean in his brother's direction-- just facts. Training the way he does gets pretty messy, pretty quick.

Once Ben decides he is officially read to head upstairs, Klaus takes the lead, running up the stairs two at a time until he finally reaches the top and wrenches open the door leading into the main part of the house.

Everyone else has already eaten, but Klaus waits for Ben to get ready before heading into the dining room to slide into an empty chair, piling food on his plate. "What d'ya wanna do later?" Probably not a lot is Klaus' guess; he never felt like doing much after his training days, either.

Klaus just shrugs. Personally? He'd just absolutely have to take a shower the second he was done, if his training was as messy as Ben's. Heck. His isn't that messy and he still takes the hottest possible shower ever the minute he gets home on his nights. But to each their own or whatever. Klaus didn't care, as long as Ben was happy. Or a version of it.

"Reading for homework or for fun?" They were the same in Klaus' opinion, but he knows Ben's a nerd and actually likes reading for some reason.

He laughs a little, "Nerd," he mutters and nudges him with his shoulder. There's never any real heat in the teasing he gives Ben over things like that, but he's gotta give him a hard time or he'll think something's wrong. Which is probably good because when Klaus stops joking, something usually is wrong.

Klaus has never missed the very weird, and almost sick-and-twisted irony of him, of all people, having the power that he does. He's the last person anyone would ever choose to name as someone expected to be violent. And yet, his power makes him, by default, one of the most violent ones at all. So much so that Dad's codename for him was The Horror. Ben is the exact opposite of anything horrific, sweet and kind of awkward in ways that are more cute than anything else. Klaus finds it kind of sad he has to have this rest on his shoulders instead.

"I dunno," he shrugs a little, "I'm probably gonna play Zelda or something." Video games were Klaus' preferred choice of time-wasting, which was much to their father's chagrin. At least if Ben wanted to read, he wouldn't get disapproving tuts or eyerolls about it, but Klaus didn't care. He would spend what minuscule free time he has however he wants, thanks.
