Reginald Hargreeves Home for Super Powered Children

Reginald Hargreeves Home for Super Powered Children
Also known as The Umbrella Academy
An eccentric billionaire once bought a few children born under crazy circumstances. That hasnāt changed. The timing in which he bought them though, thatās new. The first seven children were found at different times, brought into the Academy and trained to work as a superhero team. After their first Bank Robbery the news of the Inaugural Class of The Umbrella Academy spread world wide.
Seeking other super powered children or others born of the 43, Reginald opened his Academy to others as they came. Opened his home to children in need of learning how to control their powers. Sometimes they were bought, like the original, and sometimes they were runaways. They all had some form of a power or talent, though not all of them were useful to him.
The Media calls them The Umbrella Siblings, though not all take the Hargreeves family name.
The man still studied every child as he did his first seven, trying to learn everything he could from them. Each of them had a number, and if they came with no name they were given one by Grace.
Reginald did vigorous training with each student, as well as made sure their education was perfect. Study was important. Pogo was considered a Professor for the school, and Grace tended to teach those willing to learn about cooking and health care. Once in a while, if a super powered adult was in need and could help train the kids, they were brought on board as well.
All children of use are part of a team, though once they reach adulthood the uniforms change from school uniforms to leather suits and the missions are a bit more darker.
The Idea:
Play as children, play as adults.
Play in an actual Academy setting, a bit like the X-men but in a Hargreeves kind of manner.
Go on missions.
Do training together!
Teach a class!
Make out with someone in a dark corner.
This is a great setting for those not part of TUA cast to join in as if they were. Teachers are always needed too.
Feel free to play as Children, Teenagers or Adults. And don't forget your Domino Mask!
Bucky Barnes - Teenager OTA
Bucky had been hauled here from Russia, taken out of the medical institute and taken off his medication that they had him on for all this time. It had kept his brain empty for the most part. Mellow and sedated. Easy to take orders from the doctors. A model patient. He had been used to fight for sometime, doing assassins work off and on. Training the young to be strong like him, but he was kept mellow. Under control.
When he lost an arm and it grew back on it's own he had made news, and Hargreeves had found him, bought him and brought him to the Academy. His mind was clearing up more, but going off the drugs had left him uncomfortable and distant. His dorm room was shared with someone else, so he didn't stay there often. At the moment the kitchen was empty, so he found a place to sit at the kitchen table and stare. Not eat, not snack, not get a drink, just sit and stare, feeling distance and lost.
He can sometimes be found in a training room, throwing hard punches at a training dummy that was built to take hits from Number One and didn't normally move for anyone BUT One. Bucky could get it to shift, to jostle. He's stand there punching it for hours to give him something to focus on.
Other times he could be found in the library, seated on a chair with a foot under him, reading a book. Though anyone who got good and close might find it was a borrowed comic book tucked away in the spine.

Dec. 9th, 1996. Child known as Lucy Weaver delivered to the Academy by an associate of the mother. Mother has fled the country and abandoned the child. Initial assessment of abilities seems to show unnatural luck, further testing required to determine whether this is simply a preternatural assessment of possibility and probability or an actual altering of potential probabilities.
---------------------------------
Number Thirteen, or Lucy, was most often referred to as 'Lucky', for fairly obvious reasons, and she didn't mind that, she was probably the one who'd started it, insisting that all of them needed nicknames to go with their actual names, though that hadn't stuck as well. Of course, she was also occasionally called something along the lines of 'spooky little gremlin' due to her habit of entering and crossing rooms when no one was actually looking, often seeming to just appear in the midst of the others. For her first few months at the Academy she actually took great joy in startling the others by doing so. But, within a few months she'd settled in, though it had taken some of them longer to accept her than others, she didn't really mind it.
Of course, given as how she'd spent the first seven years of her life on what amounted to a hippie commune, there were two things that it was almost impossible to get her to do. The first was to keep her shoes on, Grace did her best, but Lucy always managed to slip them off and hide them sometime between breakfast and lessons.
The second thing was keeping her indoors. Any time that it wasn't a meal or a lesson, she was in one of the house's many courtyards or on rare occasions up on the roof, but after the Sleet Incident of 1998, she was usually found closer to the ground.
Despite both of these things, however, if there was a mission alarm, she was always ready and waiting, shoes and mask firmly in place, because she knew the rest of them had time to get used to this and she had to be just as fast if she wanted to keep up, to really be considered one of them.
In inclement weather, when disappearing outside wasn't an option, she made a point not to disappear inside, and was usually the first to ask Luther to put on some music, especially if it was a weekend and they didn't have any formal lessons -though they usually had some kind of written coursework. Or instigating games of tag or hide and seek, or as the years progressed, an ever-evolving game of their own design, some part capture the flag, some part dodgeball, and some part sheer bullshit due to the number of rules they changed and enforced at will, and while Reginald frowned at the game in general, he never actually stopped them from playing it, as it was just as good as group training sessions.
[ooc: Catch her wherever, whatever age, I want all the things.]

There were times that they were given time off from training and study, from practice and homework. Those times were filled with games, and while some decided to sit and read, others ran the mansion with a wild game of no powers hide and seek tag.
Ben was... well, he was one of the ones reading. Curled up on a couch in the library, a book in hand and ignoring the world for now. Treasure Island, one of his favorites. He liked to escape to the islands and treasure hunt in his mind. He was just fighting pirates when someone came scrambling into the library and took to hiding behind the couch he was in.
Leaning over the back of it he peeked to see who it was. "What are you doing?" He hadn't heard there was a game going on.
{Darkhearted}
Training sucked. He hated training with the tentacles. It always wore him out and Father made it go on for so long. When he was done with training this time he felt so worn out he could cry. "Dismissed, Six." Father had said, leaving him in the training chamber in the basement where he had just spent hours trying to summon something more than tentacles. The disappointment in his fathers words bothered him. He just wanted to make him proud.
He sat outside the training room, covered in a bit of slim and who knows what else that came from his belly, and he covered his face to try and get the cry out. Do it now before anyone saw him. He rubbed at his face, sniffing and feeling worn out. And oh so hungry. This took a lot out of him.
