[It danced across Rey's mind if the woman Steve mentioned was one of the other kids born on that lovely October day. Or, if she was just...someone else who was special? However, did he miss the glaring difference between that woman and her? One of them was dating Steve, and one of them could easily make him bend to their will...but she didn't want to bring it up. He was trying to make her feel better. It made her think back to their phone call, with him teasing her that she bruised his ego.

A fond memory making her smile stand out a little more.]

[Teasing to lighten the mood and to see if she could get him to chuckle. Far from ordinary, she knew that but only thought it went as far as her powers. Personality, looks, and everything else, she didn't think much of. Baggage that could be discussed on another day.]

Okay... [A nod of her head, taking Steve's word for it. Though she didn't need to read his mind, she knew she could trust him. Maybe it was the look in his eyes, or how safe she felt in his arms. She bridged the gap between them again, giving him a hug this time.]
